Self Care | Workouts for stay at home moms

It is often very difficult for a stay at home parent to go to the gym. Exercise is very important not only for your physical health but for mental well-being as well. Therefore as a parent you must not compromise on it.
Here are a few exercises you can perform at home without the need of going outside.

Squats

Squats is performed by lowering your hips from a standing position then standing back up. This exercise strengthen your core, crushes your calories and strengthen lower body muscles. Squats also aids in balancing mobility

Push ups

The exercise is performed in a prone position. By raising and lowering the body using your arms. This workout helps in strengthening upper body muscles. Apart from this, it improves posture and provides a support to bones.

Glute bridge

This is performed by lying with your back on the ground , knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Start moving your hips upwards until the shoulder hips and knees form a straight line. There are numerous benefits of the exercise. For instance strengthening the core, shaping the butt and helps in getting a good posture and stability.

Crunches

Lie with your back on the floor. Lift you upper body slightly above the floor. Bring your ribs and pelvis closer. Keep your neck straight, chin up. Continue exhaling. Slowly lower back and repeat for 15 to 20 times. Crunches help you in building your muscles. It works specially on the abdominal muscles.

Burpees

Start in a standing position then drop down into squat. Kick your legs back into a high plank position. Lower   your body. Rise back. Return back to then squatting position then Jump. It improves your overall health and reduces the risk of certain diseases.

Even if you are  a stay at home mother or a full time working mom, your self care must be a top priority for you. Incorporate workouts in your daily routine to stay healthy and fit.
